Diemen Group HR wants to keep on developing in a progressive way towards the excellence as a key to the company guidelines. Therefore, motivating the worldwide company commitment with all the society due to achieve respectful activities with the environment, has certified an Environmental System Procedure as for the regulation UNE-EN-ISO 14001/96.

The regulation ISO 14001/96 is of international application and define the specifications guidelines, elements and procedures which must accomplish a SGMA to guarantee that it is efficient and its main objective is to give priority to the environmental prevention, instead of controlling a currently effect.

Our Environmental System Procedure allows us:

• Optimise the performance of the existing applicable legislation
• Establish acceptable aims and objectives
• Assume our responsibility for a high level of environmental protection within a sustainable development atmosphere
• A continuous progress and cooperation with the institutions

Since the publication of the Directive 2002/95/CE, of 27th of January 2003, about the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic devices, Diemen Group HR has been permanently working and succeeded in the total elimination of those substances from the whole range of products, since year 2000.

Nowadays Diemen Group HR can give conformity to his customers that his products do not contain any of the substances regulated by the mentioned directive (Lead, mercury, cadmium, Hexavalent chromium, PBB or PBDE).

Diemen Group HR is since February of 2003 a Sony "Green Partner" supplier, in recognition of the wish and work for the environmental improvement.

In April 2002 Diemen Group HR started the first activities to prepare a special environmental audit, which should initially accomplish with the requirements established by Sony to their suppliers worldwide. The mentioned audit took place in October 2002 and was hold by Sony qualified staff from Japan, Germany and Spain. Diemen Group was one of the first enterprises to have one of those audits. Afterwards enterprises such us Sharp, Sanyo, Philips and others, asked Diemen the same requirements and compromises.

After this first audit, we accorded working plans and programs to achieve the objectives set by Sony and established a methodology that implicated our suppliers to collaborate with the program for the environment improvement.

After this continuous effort for the environmental improvement, Diemen Group HR succeeded with no problems the level demanded by Sony audit in mid February of 2003 becoming in one of the first Sony’s "Green Partner" suppliers worldwide and the first one in Spain with these characteristics.
